The
wine-growing estate Schuckert is a family business situated in the north
eastern part of Austria in the province of the Weinviertel. The estate
is situated in Poysdorf, “the wine-growing city of Austria”.
Josef,
Gertrude and “junior” Rainer Schuckert divide the work on the estate
among the cellar, the vineyards and marketing their products.
19 ha
wine-growing area is cultivated in 32 single locations. A multitude of
awards won at international wine tasting events as well as being the
winner of the federal price, the national price and the salon award
support and confirm the Schuckert business philosophy.
Ecological cultivation of the vineyards, reduction of vintage by cutting
short and thinning out, controlled fermentation and vinification in
barrique of the white and red wines have become the trademark of the
Schuckert wine-growing estate and hence mark the quality of the wines.
Yet
Schuckert is known for more than the wines. For years, the wines have
been fermented to create the finest sparkling wines and among the
spirits produced there are plenty of the finest brandies.
